Bluesource Migrates over 1 Petabyte of Email in Just 30 Days
Bluesource migrated over one petabyte (1PB) of email for a single large global enterprise customer in just 30 days using its proprietary ArchiveMASH™ platform.
The project moved over 1PB of legacy email data from a complex, highly regulated environment to a new archive with – all while maintaining full chain of custody and ensuring uninterrupted access for end users.
The project involves nine parallel migrations across different geographical regions. The entire project is over 8 petabytes of data. Bluesource aims to keep the pace of 1PB/month through completion.

Maintaining the Pace
Bluesource maintained the 1 PB per month pace, moving over another petabyte in the next month. Our expert migrations team, combined with ArchiveMASH software, has kept this data migration project on schedule, with limited errors or failures.
The project kicked off in April 2026, moving nearly half a petabyte in that first month.
